The Sacramento Kings are facing a crisis which might result in the team relocating to Anaheim. The city needs serious help to save their team. Unfortunately, the local government probably won't be able to save the Kings.
Sacramento can't depend on a democracy, they need a dictatorship. They need a King.
To Sacramento fans, I say, in this election year, change is coming. A new King is headed your way.
Noah saved the planet with an Ark, King James is on his way to save Arco from beyond the arc.
Noah saved the planet with an Ark, King James is on his way to save Arco from beyond the arc.
In Provo, UT, he is revered reverently as The Jimmer...
After the Sacramento Kings drafted The Jimmer with the 10th overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft, I propose a new nickname for him; King James.
True, there is some fraud running around the NBA calling himself King James, but he is public enemy number one these days and has done very little to deserve such a lofty title. So, I propose we strip the fake King James of such a cool nickname and give it to a player who deserves it.
The Jimmer, eh, the new King James, is humble, likable and has a deity-like following in many places. Hey, he'll even be wearing a jersey with the word "KING" written across it next season. Ergo, I hereby proclaim James "Jimmer" T. Fredette, the new King James.
In a league full of so many faulty and flawed role models, the new King James won't pompously take his "talents" anywhere unnecessary or hide in his mansion, away from the commers after the season is over. Instead, he will reward with you a smile when you ask him for an interview or an autograph.
The new King James will reign 30-35 feet from the hoop, further than any other King before him. Hell, not only will he reign from distance, he'll even teach you how to Jimmer if you ask nicely.
King James Fredette comes with plenty of experience, albeit in a much smaller kingdom. Still, King James ruled Provo, UT with control and charisma seldom seen before on the college landscape.
He has dealt with lack or respect; see Tre'von Willis. He single handedly carried his entire kingdom on his back following tragedy; see the New Mexico game in the Mountain West Conference tournament. And perhaps more importantly, he has handled success with humility and class; just watch the kid in an interview.
The old King James let his people down far too often. Out with the old king and in with the new.
Long live the new King James!
